Hey Dan, great book. It's stellar! Seriously, it's the most informative SEO Book I've read, ever. Anyways, my question: similar to what Curtis posted...

I was wanting to index some of my internal pages and use my internal anchor text to boost my rankings...Theoretically then, could I simply submit multiple unique and wonderful articles to just say, EzineArticles.com, and push pagerank into my main index page; then watch as it filters through and indexes every page on my site?

Would it matter that all of the pagerank would come from Ezine? Would I only get pagerank from one of the Ezine backlinks, even though I'd potentially have 10 or 20, or 100 different links?

hi thanks for the tips on SEO and linkbuilding (it's shame your not in the UK so I could visit one of your face to face courses!) You mentiion in your books some link building streaming videos is there any chance you could post me the link to that as I can't seem to find at the minute?

Thanks! Do you think there is a limit to how much link/anchor text reputation you can get from one site in the eye's of google? Such as if you have a link on one page of the site vs getting another link on another page. I'm only using this as example, which of course would be more than one or two links.

Forget about the toolbar PageRank - that's a months-old approximation and not terribly good at reflecting the underlying reality.

I use a high tech approach called the "smell test" - if the site sucks, is ugly, nasty, or otherwise stinky, then that's not something I'd pursue.

Good sites good. Bad sites bad.

I know many SEO experts do not look at PR anymore. If you were trying to contact other web sites to link to you, how do you know what the quality of that link will be from the referring site? How much value would it give you in regards to anchor text & link rep? Such as do you look at how many links yahoo shows pointing to their site, their alexa ranking and how often it gets index? Do you even look at PR anymore? Would a site with 3 or even 0 PR give you some good link reputation? Does it help you a lot if their site gets indexed very frequently, like a blog?

What if you have a site linking to you on a page in the content, but on several different pages of their site. Wouldn't multiple pages with links in the content be much better than 1 page or does Google not give much value to the extra pages? These pages do not have the same content of course.

If there are enough links on the same page to known buyers (same anchor text and URL in multiple paid links across many sites), very easy to detect. Plus they have a paid link reporting system via Webmaster Tools.

How do they know if they are paid? I guess for the fact that they are in a list like Yahoo's dir for example, wouldn't have as much weight vs if the links were in a body of text? Is that why you probably wont get much from it?
