Link Building Class Week 5 – Free Subscriber Bonus

Week 5: Content Distribution Campaigns

  • This class was recorded in 2006, and in a few places refers to other video content that isn't online for SEO Fast Start subscribers.
  • Streaming video is always a compromise between speed and quality, especially with audio – I think my media team did pretty well but let me know! Broadband access is necessary (128k+) but this video should work fine with any cable or DSL access.
  • If you can't see the video at all, you probably need to upgrade your Flash player.
  • For those who like to read along or read ahead, feel free to download the PDF of this presentation.

Dan,

I really love your work.

I have a question. I heard Leslie Rohde say that If you have an article on your site, you could publish that to say EzineArticles.com with no issue. The source of this was on a call with the Formula 5 creator.

However, now I just heard you say you should not duplicate an article that you have submitted on your site. The source for this statement was Link Building class 5.

Just slightly confused by this.

Thanks for all of the absolutely amazing content.

I'm not sure what Leslie said, but it's a complex issue and lots of people have different opinions on what to do. The video you just watched was recorded in 2006. Google has certainly gotten better at identifying the original source of content, but at the very least, I would wait until your article has been indexed before putting a copy into syndication.

Dan,

I have been working everyday to build links for an e -commerce store that I started in March of 09. I have built about 900 backlinks over a 4 month period. I have been creating content with quality article directories, and other good authority sites.

As I have been checking my stats, little by little the amount of links that Google is giving me credit for has been dwindling.

I thought that might be natural since they might view some links as not worthy, but today I checked my stats and I went from 650 backlinks to 60.

I do not know why and thought you might shed some light. Also, do you think I will ever get them back or did they remove them for good?
