A Rare Event: Dan Buys An Info-Product!
Well, I took the plunge today on Ryan Lee and Tim Kerber's "Membership Site Boot Camp" home study course & coaching program. I will report back and let you know how it is.
If you're interested, you can see the videos explaining what it's about or just read the sales page. I think the videos do a much better job of explaining how this business model works than the sales letter possibly can, but you be the judge.
The price is going up to $1997 on Friday, so that's why I ordered it today.
This is an extremely rare event for me. The last info-product I bought was Jeff Walker's "Product Launch Formula," and it was worth every dime. Jeff's recommending Ryan & Tim's course, and that was a big factor in deciding to buy it today.
If you'd rather not hear about things like this, I'm sorry… but I like to share things with my readers from time to time. Not often, because it's not often that I have enough confidence in an info-product to actually pull out my credit card.
Does my interest in subscription-based business models mean that you'll have to start paying to read the SEO Fast Start portal? Absolutely not!
On the other hand, if I can come up with the right partners to make it worthwhile, I may develop a paid-membership site for those who want a higher level of support. We'll see. For now, my main interest in this course is just to learn more about the membership business model.

Thank you for sharing about the product. I have heard about it from a couple of other sources. Glad to see that there are still items out there that would even catch your attention. This group and portal has been a blessing and I truly appreciate you commitment to it and the fact that the main portion will remain free. I feel that working with this portal will put my sites over the top. Again, thank you and let me know any advise that you have for my SI issues.
I have no choice… I will be opening my wallet for Ryan & Tim's product too. I heard they are the best in the business.

OK, update time!
The box went "THUD!" on my doorstep late Thursday afternoon. I watched the first DVD and felt better about my purchase already.
The DVDs are a live seminar recording, which was done with a pretty small group (maybe 50 attendees) and they did a good job recording and editing. All the slides and handouts appear to be in the printed book, plus they have another book with transcripts from the DVDs.
I watched the first DVD as soon as I got the package. Usually when I sit in on a "business opportunity" training, I hear lots of stuff that makes me cringe, but not with these guys. They spent a lot of time on the message that you need to deliver real value and make your money by being worth the money you make.
I'll post more as I get further into the course. Probably after the first coaching call on August 14. So far, it's everything I wanted and more.
(Jeff, the books will be here in a couple weeks, and you can count on it…)

I received my course on 8/7 (the day before my 38th B-Day
I was so excited when UPS showed up. YES! I am excited because I had a failed membership attempt and another membership that needs help. I never knew there was training for this! Anyway, I ripped open the box and got started right away. Long story short, I am listening to my last bonus CD as I write this.
The program is loaded with content and lacks fluff…which is COOL

Excuse my post on the other page- it wasn't mean to be an "ad" -I guess I got carried away…..
I am looking at creating a paid membership site around seo starting with proving my ability by working with an exisisting clients site-(still to be chosen) is opinions what works and what doesn't is not what counts- its results, pure and simple.
I have a programmer/blogger to cover that side- I welecome your thoughts
